Courtney
Porter is in his 8th year of coaching football. He began in
1997 coaching defensive backs at the University of Missouri
at Rolla. After two seasons with the Miners he coached running
backs at DuPage County Jr. College for two years where the Chaparrals
won the Div I Jr. College, Central Division, National Title
in 2000. Afterwards Courtney continued his playing career in
the Arena Football League and in 2001 was selected as the Defensive
Coordinator for the Sioux City Bandits arena football team.
In 2003 he had his first experience with Women’s Full
Contact Football as the Head Coach for the KC Krunch before
coming to the helm of the Storm. During the Fall, Courtney also
coaches the varsity defensive backs of Blue Valley Northwest
Huskies and is the JV Defensive Coordinator.
Courtney
has compiled playing experience from 3 years of high school
football at Hazelwood East in St. Louis, MO, 4 years at the
University of MO at Rolla, 2 years with the Sioux City Attack
and a half season with Chicago Enforcers in the XFL.
