The
Kansas City Storm was created by players for players
in the summer of 2004.
In
2005, the Storm competed in the Eastern Conference
and played a ten game season running from April thru
June. Games were played on Saturday nights, at 7:00pm,
at area college and high school stadiums, including
one game at Arrowhead Stadium! Conference rivals were
the Detroit Predators, Chicago Force, and Des Moines
Courage. The Storm ended up with a 4-5-1 record.
In
2006, the Storm was part of the Western Conference
and played 8 games from April to June. Home games
were played at 3:00pm on Saturday afternoons at Blue
Springs High School. Rival teams included the Detroit
Predators, Chicago Force, Iowa Crush, Detroit Demolition
(a 4 time NWFA Championship team) and Indianapolis
Chaos. The Storm ended up with a 3-5 record.
