Kansas City Krunch
Gets Team Owner
The National Women's
Football Association, the largest full contact women's football
league in the world has sold the license for the Kansas
City team. The license was sold to Cheryl Fields. Fields
has been acting GM for the Krunch and felt ownership of
the Krunch was a great opportunity.
Cheryl has a Master of Business Administration (MBA), from
the University of Phoenix, a Bachelor degree in General
Business from Emporia State University, and is currently
seeking out Ph.D. programs in business and health care administration.
She currently teaches part time at Johnson County Community
College, as an Adjunct Instructor. The former Manager and
Special
Investigator for the Kansas Human Rights Commission, recently
founded a new foundation for the rare disorder she has,
called the Trimethylaminuria Midwest Region Foundation (TMRF),
the only foundation of its type in the midwest. She enjoys
cooking, entertaining, watching/playing football, and public
speaking.
The National Women's Football Association has 30 teams gearing
up for its 2003 season and just recently signed a five-year
TV broadcast rights deal with the exciting new Football
Network. The league's website receives almost 2 million
hits per month. Most recently the league was featured on
the Connie Chung Show, NBC's Today Show and Nickelodeon.
The league is in its 3rd season.
The league is already starting expansion teams for 2004!
Expansion cities for 2004 include: Evansville (IN), East
Bay (CA), Dallas (TX), Roanoke (VA), San Antonio (TX) and
Los Angeles (CA).
